- 1 cup oatmeal
- 1 tablespoon coconut milk
- 1/2 teaspoon condensed vegan milk
- 1/2 teaspoon orange zest
- 2 small sticks of cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon vegan butter
- 1 1/4 teaspoons agar agar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup white sugar
- 1 small stick of cinnamon
For the caramel, add sugar, cinnamon, and 1/2 cup water in a pan. Heat on medium-high, stirring until sugar dissolves. Boil and then remove the cinnamon. Cook until the sugar turns golden brown. Carefully transfer into containers and let cool.
In a pot, mix milks and whisk on medium-high heat. Add cinnamon stick, butter, and orange zest. Remove from heat right before boiling, drain, and return to the stove.
Dissolve agar agar in 3-4 tablespoons of milk. Add to the pot, stirring constantly until it boils for 4 minutes.
Carefully pour the milk mixture into the caramelized containers. Let it rest for 15 minutes.
Refrigerate for 3-6 hours until set.
