Ingredients
  

  • 2 medium onions
  • 250 gram flour
  • 300 ml water
  • 1 teaspoon sweet paprika
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder (Royal Type)
  • Bread Crumbs
  • Salt to taste
  • Olive oil for frying

Instructions
 

  • Peel the onions and remove the outer layer. Slice them into 1cm thick rings from bottom to top.
  • Separate the onion layers into rings and soak them in cold water for 30 minutes. Discard any non-ring shapes or small pieces.
  • Mix flour, baking powder, cold water, a teaspoon of salt, and paprika in a large bowl until it forms a lump-free, somewhat liquid batter.
  • Drain the onion rings, add a pinch of salt, and dip them into the batter, ensuring they are well coated. Then, coat them in breadcrumbs.
  • Fry the coated onion rings in hot olive oil for about 30 seconds. Remove and let them drain on a rack or paper towels to stay crispy.
